MESSAGE FROM LIBRARIAN
Dear readers I am happy to share my thoughts with you. I am  working as librarian since 1986, till this date our team has made tremendous change our library under the guidance of our Late President Hon. Ankushrao Tope Saheb, Secretary Hon. Rajesh Tope, Administrative officer and Principal Dr. B.R. Gaikwad.
Considering the library role in higher education. It plays an important role in the development of students & faculty. It is bridge between the teaching & learning process.  Hence libraries are primary source in Learning Process. Our library is a connecting link between teaching & learning as well as place which provide resource is what is beyond class room. It serves the user by providing specific information of the user interest.
MSS Ankushrao Tope College established in the year 1983. Previously it was MSS Arts, Commerce & Science College, Jalna & now the renamed as  MSS Ankushrao Tope College, Jalna. The institute has central and departmental libraries. The central library  procured 1800 books at the time of beginning of the college, presently the library has more than 43000 books in general, 768 Bound volumes of Journals 97 Periodical, 120 CDS & DVDs etc. Library has Inflibnet N-List online Journal & Remote Access of BAMU, Aurangabad.
Library is fully computerized with SOUL2.0 Software since 2004. All software modules Except serials are ran successfully. WEB-OPAC Facility is also available for all students and staff. The library has e-library with 6 computer with broadband internet service free of cost.Several Best practices adopted of maximum use of library by students & staff are like annual best user award, Library orientation feedback, set of books for meritorious students etc.

I.T. INFRASTRUCTURE (ICT)

Library is automated with the help of SOUL 2.0 library software. Central Library is a part of the institute. The library is connected to the BSNL's Broad Band Internet bandwidth.
The library has 1 server, 6 PCs and other accessories adequate to cater to the needs of users. 4 PCs are for home lending section in the library. 1 PC is meant for users to access OPAC, databases, e-books, e-journals and other e-resources. Also library provide a reprographic service to the user in nominal rate.

Y.C.M.O.U. NASHIK - STUDY CENTRE

Library runs two course affiliated with Y.C.M.O. University, Nashik in distance mode.

INTERNET SURFING SERVICE

Library has a one internet connection from BSNL Broad Band. This service is free of cost to the users for their educational use.
Library has made available devoted 10 computer set for internet surfing.

WEB OPAC SERVICE

With the help of SOUL 2.0 (International Library Management Software)  Library members can search his or her books through web opac by Author, Title , Class No., Acc. No., Subject & etc.

PHOTOCOPYING SERVICE

Details of the service:
- Library offers photocopying service to all its members, walk-in users and others.
- Only single copy of journal articles and book chapters are provided for private study and research purpose.
- Photo Copy Charges is Rs. 1 per page to the users.

READING ROOM FACILITY

Library reading room facility provide to the users. Reading room capacity is 160 users at time. The textbooks / course books as recommended by the faculty are kept in the library Reading room Section at the circulation counter.
These books can be used only in the library against Identity Card. Students can borrow one book at a time from this collection for on-premises up to the closing of the library on same day. A late fee of Rs. 1.00 per day is charged for overdue book.

USER AWARNESS PROGRAMME

The library takes an active part in the orientation programme organized by the institute for the benefit of new students in the beginning of academic year. They are taken around the library to familiarize them with various resources and services available for them.
Any user desiring to know more about library resources and service or to learn how to use a particular resource like OPAC, e-journals, databases etc. should contact Librarian or Library staff, Reference service.
